4474: Assignments
Some of these assignments must be completed at a terminal. Others you can think about. Assignments that you simply mull over, of course, cannot be graded. UNIX is much more than a disk full of programs. With UNIX, you perform useful work by putting pieces together to create more powerful tools. It will take a little time to develop, but by taking advantage of these "thinking assignments" you to begin to see problems the UNIX way and you'll find that your productivity will soar at a fantastic rate.
