Dyro's Web-based Training Site

The World Wide Web, or more simply, the Web, is one of the most educational, entertaining, and productive tools on the Internet today. With full multimedia capabilities and a global network in place, we can jump from one site to another at the click of a button, forging our own learning experiences in this great world-wide library.

The Web can be used either as a stand-alone teaching and training tool or used in conjunction with other forms of instruction. Increasingly, instructors are beginning to understand the Web's offerings of countless and creative possibilities for training. Today, you can find a course on the Internet covering almost any topic, from learning how to play a harmonica, via e-mail, to system administration.

These pages are designed to help instructors in using the Web in education as well as creating material for it. As you read, keep in mind that no one is saying that "you must do this" or "you must do that". Play with the material and add your own ideas. If there is but one item that helps you in the creation of your on-line course, whether by using or avoiding something, then the purpose of these pages will have been served.
